Sunday morning or afternoon
Sunday morning class: Water Milk Cream and Vegemite
In this workshop you will be introduced to the basics of watercolour. Being one of the hardest mediums to use, it’s best to learn the correct way to begin your journey into the world of watercolour.
You will learn about watercolour paints, brushes and watercolour paper. Moving on we will learn washes – the foundation to a good watercolour.
Working on the best watercolour paper we will finish with a booklet that you can refer back to for many years to come.
Sunday afternoon class: Salt and Soft Edges
In the afternoon workshop, we will work with technique whilst being creative. Working on large sheets of watercolour paper and adding such techniques as salt and gladwrap. Creating soft edges and learning just how watercolour reacts.
This is a fun class that will follow on from the morning class, but a more advanced student can learn a lot from this class as well as a beginner.
Tamlyn works and teaches in many mediums including watercolour. She says ” It is the one art form that you need to learn some basics from the start. It can be a frustrating medium but if used correctly, it can be an amazing journey. I enjoy watching the look on students faces once the penny drops. Watercolour is a magical journey and it always surprises me!”
Working from her studio in Canungra, Tamlyn runs regular workshops and classes for all levels.
