Olive Branch Relief Carving

A great workshop to start learning woodcarving, introducing relief carving techniques, working with different shapes and layers and tool handling. Feel at ease with Radha’s comfortable and approachable teaching method. Participants will work towards completing a simple olive branch relief carving including stem, leaves and olives. Great for beginners and complete novices.

Radha has been carving for over twenty years now and works full time as a professional artist and woodcarving teacher. His teaching method is highly personalised adapting his tuition to each individual’s ability to achieve the best outcome for that person. There is no one size fits all.

Children are welcome from age 8 and up. But any children under 12 will need a parent with them.
You don’t need to have done any woodcarving before, you don’t even need to know what a chisel is!!

If you have carved before you are more than welcome to bring along some of your work to show.
If you don’t finish their project you are welcome to come to one Sat morning class at Radha’s studio in Beenleigh to finish it, or you will have enough info from the workshop to complete at home if you have the tools.

All tools and materials will be provided. Material cost $10 per person.

Session time – half day or full day: Session times are 9.00-11.30am; 1.00-3.30pm.
