Landscape Painting with Acrylics – Dave Groom

    • Dave Groom at Work

Acrylic is one of the most versatile mediums for painting and allows the artist to paint quickly and freely. Dave Groom will show you how to mix colours and use different techniques to create a landscape painting that is your own individual style. You will learn about composition, tone and colour._Dave will supply you with a stretched canvas and quality professional Atelier acrylics to work with.

    • The Lost World valley is a spectacular place to become inspired by the landscape. Dave is a professional landscape artist and he will help you to look at the landscape that surrounds you, possibly in a new way, so that you can then create your own personal interpretation of the landscape. The workshop will be positioned so that you have views of the surrounding mountains as well as the Albert River which flows through the Olive Grove.
    • Dave will spend some time showing you specific techniques and skills that will enable you to  create your own piece, but in the end artistic interpretation should be a personal thing. There is no right or wrong way to paint. With any workshop that Dave runs, whether it be drawing or painting, the one thing he focuses on is uncovering your own unique way of seeing. He sees this as a valuable thing, as it may then lead you to discovering your own unique artistic talent.
