Stalls at Arts in the Olives 2012 will have a range of enticing goods on offer. You’ll find some luscious food from operators like Towri Sheep Cheese with excellent samples of produce and Jules Yummy with pickles and such. There will be honey, scented with local flowers from Greenlee and olives picked and processed by hand by Glynn and Barbara from Scenic Rim Olives.
Desley and Pietro will be there with gelato and minestrone and this time even more delicious Italian fare, side by side with Katy’s gourmet barbque, the tantalising sausages and sauerkraut stall and brain chilling fruit smoothies from Adam and Luca.
Produce stalls will be offering beautiful handmade goods like exotic felting from Amba and Denise, botanically dyed fabrics from Wendi and wearable art from TamborineArt Collective. You’ll find pretty slippers from Tracey and gentle goat’s milk soap from Patricia and when you need a break choose a book from Sara and Dan at Ex Libris and a wine from Barney Creek and sit in the shade near the stage for the music.
Do you know about ‘Scrumbling’? Your chance is here with Robyn Burch willing to demonstrate and teach the finer points and from here you may encounter Sara Bruxner and her poetry or Fiona with baskets and hand painted fabrics, perhaps Cheryl with her original creations or Lou with soy candles.
Ros will have lemonade, and pretty aprons to mop up the spills and Sarah has hand made hair decorations nicely priced to allow kids to spend a little but not too much.
If you are a gardener, you’ll be delighted with the lovely plants from the amazing garden of Flip and Sheryl and then you’re sure to find a mug from the potters stall to sip coffee from Richard at Cafe Silippo or tea or chai with a cake by the river.
There will be more of course, to browse and taste and soak up and hear so hope to run into you somewhere in the grove, or near the stage with the sweet music, or by the busy little river.
With all these distractions, hope you find time for workshops!!
